OUR CURRICULUM
Learning Through Play
Our programs are designed to meet the needs of our children through specific goals and objectives. We focus on building off of the strengths of each child, taking advantage of every teachable moment. Our activities and play are teacher initiated but student led.
FINE MOTOR FUN
Flexing our Fingers!
Our fine motor objectives offers a variety of activities that interest different learners. These toys provide students an opportunity to strengthen the small muscles in their hands. Who knew working out could be so much fun!
GROSS MOTOR GAMES
Getting Bigger
We refine and develop those gross motor skills through different games and activities that encourage building, jumping, running, hopping, and balancing. Students are working and playing at the same time!
SENSORY SENSATION
Texture Talk
The sensory station is different every day and is based on the weekly theme. This station is designed to allow students to explore a variety of textures, shapes, and colors all while learning more about our weekly theme.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
State Guided Standards
Our goal is to partner with your family during your child's early education. We use the Louisiana student standards as a guide for our older students when choosing the best activities and themes. Our younger students' activities are based on the APA development milestones. So their activities include more focus on early growth and development. For all ages, each day includes story time, art, gross motor activities, fine motor activities, and dramatic play. Our older students also practice letter recognition, early reading skills, shapes and color review practice, early math concepts, and introduction to science skills.
